More about Kathleen

Style
Camping around New Zealand as a child I developed a deep respect for our natural world and its native plants and animals, particularly the beautiful birds. So ever since I first picked up a paintbrush I’ve been painting NZ birds. Five years studying art at Massey University in Wellington gave me the opportunity to try out a wide range of different art mediums and techniques and introduced me to Maori art. Now I paint NZ birds in all media, as well as other aspects of the natural world in a distinctly New Zealand flavour.

Gallery History
I have held solo exhibitions in Marton (2008) and been involved in group exhibitions with Massey University (2004, 2005), Wellington.

My original work has also been featured
i5 Gallery,
The Yellow Church Gallery Mangaweka
Sugar Plum Café Marton
Lush Gallery, Raumati Beach
Maori Gallery, Havelock

I am also starting to develop a range of greeting cards, currently available in galleries and shops from Wellington to Taumarunui, soon to be all over New Zealand.
